As a senior, he completed 207 of 306 passes for 2,640 yards with 27 touchdown passes and two interceptions. Potter redshirted during his 2023 season at Washington State. In 2024, he made his collegiate debut against Hawaii, completing 2 of 2 passes for 26 yards, and also appeared in the Holiday Bowl against No. 21 Syracuse. During the 2025 season at Washington State, Potter started the first three games, accumulating 67 completions on 85 attempts for 604 yards and four touchdowns.
