Andrew Nelms is a kicker from Marietta, Georgia who attended Pope High School, where he competed in football and baseball. After redshirting in 2023 at Georgia Tech and not playing in 2024, he transferred to Florida Atlantic. During the 2025 season with the Owls, Nelms served as the primary kickoff specialist and holder. Across multiple contests, he recorded 10 kickoffs for 625 yards against one opponent and nine kickoffs for 533 yards in a 53-33 win over UAB. He also contributed seven kickoffs with five downed inside the 20 in a 40-21 victory over Tulsa and added a solo tackle in a game against Navy.
