Austin James Ashworth is a linebacker for Old Dominion from Galax, Virginia. The redshirt sophomore stands 6'0" and weighs 225 pounds. After redshirting in 2024 and appearing in three games, Ashworth played in all 13 games in 2025, primarily on special teams. He recorded 11 tackles and one tackle for loss during the season, including a career-high three tackles against Coastal Carolina. Ashworth also recorded one tackle in the Cure Bowl victory over South Florida.
