Daniel Akinkunmi is a left guard for the Oklahoma Sooners who enrolled in January 2024 after attending NFL Academy in London. Originally a basketball player, he transitioned to American football and was a consensus three-star recruit, rated as the No. 20 offensive guard in his class by national outlets and a 2023 Under Armour All-American. In 2024, he made his lone appearance against Maine on November 2. During the 2025 season, Akinkunmi played in six games primarily on special teams, seeing action against Auburn, Kent State, Texas, South Carolina, LSU, and Alabama in the CFP First Round.
