Caleb Hawkins is a running back from Shawnee, Oklahoma, who played his true freshman season at North Texas in 2025 before transferring to Oklahoma State. As a freshman, he recorded 1,434 rushing yards on 231 carries and 32 receptions for 370 yards. He scored 29 total touchdowns—25 rushing and four receiving—ranking first in the FBS for total touchdowns, rushing touchdowns, and points scored with 174. His 1,804 all-purpose yards ranked fourth nationally. Hawkins earned unanimous All-American Conference First Team honors, Second Team All-America selections from Walter Camp and Sporting News, and was named American Conference Rookie of the Year. He appeared in 13 of North Texas's 14 games, making nine starts.
