Joe McGuire, a 6'2" punter from Melbourne, Australia, walked on to Ohio State in fall 2023 and redshirted his freshman year. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, he appeared in all 16 games and recorded 47 punts for 1,977 yards at 42.1 yards per punt, with 14 punts inside the 20-yard line. In 2025, McGuire played in all 14 games as a redshirt sophomore, posting 29 punts for 1,229 yards (42.4 yards per punt) including a season-long of 55 yards and 12 punts inside the 20. He has earned Academic All-Big Ten Conference honors both seasons and was named CSC Academic All-District in 2025.
