Boubacar Traore is a 6'5", 253-pound right defensive end for Notre Dame who was recruited as a consensus four-star prospect in the 2023 class, ranking 227th overall. He made his collegiate debut in 2023 and played in five games as a freshman before suffering a season-ending injury. In 2024, he returned to action across five games, recording three sacks and five tackles for loss while leading all FBS freshmen in sacks after Week Four. As a sophomore in 2025, Traore started 11 games and led the team with 6.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and 37 total tackles. He earned College Football Comeback Player of the Year Semifinalist honors and posted a multi-sack performance against NC State.
