Josh Veldman is a linebacker for Northwestern. The 6'5", 210-pound true freshman from New Lenox, Illinois, attended Lincoln-Way West High School, where he was named Class 7A All-State as a senior in 2024. During his junior year in 2023, he tallied 110 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, six pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two sacks. As a senior, he led Lincoln-Way West to its first playoff win in six years. A three-star recruit ranked No. 144 nationally at linebacker, Veldman committed to Northwestern in March 2024.
