Malik Armstrong is a redshirt senior safety for Northern Illinois, wearing number 14. The Joliet, Illinois native from Minooka Community High School arrived as a two-star recruit in 2022. Armstrong began his college career at wide receiver, seeing action in seven games during 2023, then moved to cornerback in 2024 when he appeared in 11 games including the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on December 23. In 2025, he appeared in eight games primarily on special teams and as a defensive back sub, recording one tackle at UMass on November 12. Armstrong stands 6'0" and weighs 192 pounds.
