Jacob Welch is a 6'6", 316-pound offensive lineman from Johnsburg, Illinois, who plays for Northern Illinois. He redshirted in 2023 before appearing in all 13 games in 2024, primarily on field goal and PAT units. In 2025, Welch played in all 12 games while continuing special teams duties and earned Academic All-MAC honors for the second consecutive year. In high school, he was a four-year varsity letterwinner and two-time team captain who recorded 55 pancake blocks and 45 tackles in 2022.
