Brett Tastad is an offensive guard for North Dakota State. The 6'5", 298-pound true freshman from Rolette, North Dakota, attended Rolette High School, where he was a three-year starter and four-year letterman. He earned two all-state honors, including first-team selection in 2024. During his high school career, his team compiled a 35-8 record with one state championship and one state semifinal appearance. Tastad also competed in wrestling and track and field, earning academic all-state recognition in wrestling. He plans to major in agribusiness. His father, Matt, was an offensive guard on the 1992 NDSU football team, and his older brother Nate plays offensive tackle for the Bison.
