Trashawn Ruffin is a defensive tackle for the North Carolina Tar Heels. The 6'3", 350-pound true freshman hails from Calypso, North Carolina, where he played for North Duplin High School under coach Hugh Martin. As a senior in 2025, Ruffin earned team captain honors and was a four-time all-conference selection. He recorded 47 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and three sacks in 11 games, leading North Duplin to a 10-2 record before the team's third-round playoff exit.
