Au'Tori Newkirk is a redshirt freshman quarterback for North Carolina from Norfolk, Virginia, where he attended Maury High School. At Maury, he led the program to a 15-0 record in 2024 and earned Virginia Class 5 Offensive Player of the Year honors in both 2023 and 2024, throwing for 3,802 yards with 50 touchdowns while adding 603 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns as a senior. Newkirk appeared in two games during his true freshman season at Carolina in 2025, including contests against Richmond and at NC State. He completed three of six passing attempts for 23 yards with one touchdown pass, a four-yard completion to Jordan Owens at NC State, and one interception. From Maury · Norfolk, VA.
