Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Gethers began his college career at Dodge City CC in 2023 before joining the Aggies. In 2025, his junior year, he appeared in all 12 games and started the final nine, recording 88 total tackles—second on the team—with 49 assisted tackles leading the defense.
