Saveon Freeman is a 6'0", 185-pound cornerback from Water Valley, Mississippi, currently a redshirt junior at New Mexico State. Freeman played high school football at Water Valley HS under head coach Brad Embry, where he earned two-time all-region and all-state honors. As a senior, he caught 21 passes for 340 yards and six touchdowns while recording 17 tackles, two passes defended, and an interception on defense. He attended Northwest Mississippi CC as a freshman in 2023, playing in eight games and totaling eight tackles while helping the Rangers to a 7-3 record and MACCC Playoffs appearance. Freeman has missed the 2024 and 2025 seasons due to injury.
