Gabe Peterson is a redshirt senior defensive end from Overland Park, Kansas, who attended Blue Valley Northwest HS before joining New Mexico State. As a freshman in 2022, he appeared in 12 games with two starts and recorded 17 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. In 2023, Peterson played all 15 games with 11 starts, tallying 55 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks while helping the Aggies to a 10-win season. He earned CUSA Defensive Player of the Week honors on November 20 after recording six tackles and one sack against Auburn. Peterson currently stands 6'2" and weighs 255 pounds.
