A native of League City, Texas, Woods attended Clear Springs High School before playing his first two seasons at Texas (2022-23), where he redshirted as a freshman and appeared primarily on special teams as a sophomore. In his 2025 season, Woods appeared in all 12 games for the Wolf Pack, recording 103 rushing yards on 19 carries and eight receptions for 89 yards with one touchdown. He also averaged 25.9 yards on 12 kick returns, including a 99-yard return touchdown against San José State on November 15.
