Joey Thomas III is a freshman defensive back for Nevada standing 6'1" and weighing 170 pounds. The Seattle native attended Bishop Manogue High School, where he was ranked a three-star recruit and the No. 8 recruit in Nevada by recruiting services. During his final season in 2024, he earned two 5A-North All-Region selections, including Second Team at the athlete position and Honorable Mention at defensive back. As a junior, he posted six takeaways—four interceptions and two fumble recoveries—along with 34 tackles and two additional All-Region Second Team honors. Thomas also caught 12 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns across two seasons at receiver. He helped lead Bishop Manogue to the Nevada 5A state title in 2024.
