Mykel Ford is a redshirt freshman defensive back for Nevada wearing number 28. The Oklahoma City native attended Putnam City West High School, where he was a three-star recruit by recruiting services. During his high school career, Ford recorded 100 tackles with two interceptions and nine passes defended across four varsity seasons. As a senior in 2024, he tallied 33 tackles. Ford also played wide receiver on offense, collecting 30 receptions and three touchdowns during his time at the prep level.
