Darren Schmitt is a freshman tight end at Nevada standing 6'4" and weighing 230 pounds. From Vancouver, Washington, he attended Evergreen High School, where he earned All-Region honors at tight end in 2025. Playing for head coach Christian Swain, Schmitt helped the Plainsmen reach the 3A playoffs in both his junior and senior seasons. Over 2024-25, he recorded 32 receptions for 312 yards and six touchdowns, per MaxPreps. A three-star recruit by recruiting services, Schmitt wears No. 80 for the Wolf Pack.
