Carter Jones is a sophomore quarterback for the Nevada Wolf Pack from Lancaster, Texas. A three-year starter at Lancaster High School, Jones committed to Nevada over offers from 14 other programs. He appeared in 10 games during his 2025 freshman season with seven starts, completing 111 of 173 passes for 1,001 yards, six touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Jones earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors on November 17 following his performance against San José State, where he completed 16 of 19 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed 33 times for 39 yards and fumbled three times, losing two.
