Mac Markway is a transfer from LSU who joined Nebraska prior to the 2024 season. The 6'4", 250-pound right defensive end from St. Louis played one season at LSU as a true freshman in 2023, appearing in 12 games with one start. He recorded three receptions for 16 yards, including an eight-yard catch against Grambling, a five-yard reception versus Mississippi State, and a three-yard touchdown reception against Georgia State. A four-star recruit from De Smet Jesuit High School, Markway was ranked the No. 3 tight end by national outlets. He suffered a season-ending injury in September 2024 and used his redshirt that year.
