John Hohl is Nebraska's kickoff specialist and placekicker. A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Hohl redshirted during the 2023 season at Iowa Western before transferring to the Cornhuskers as a ranked top transfer kicker. In 2024, his redshirt freshman year, he appeared in all 13 games with 10 starts, converting 10-of-15 field goals and 23-of-25 extra points while recording five touchbacks on 17 kickoffs. He connected on a 54-yard field goal at Ohio State, matching Nebraska's school record for longest field goal in an away game. During the 2025 season, Hohl played in 12 games as Nebraska's primary kickoff specialist, producing 25 touchbacks on 54 kickoffs to lead the team in both categories.
