Donovan Jones is a nickelback for Nebraska standing 6'1" and weighing 200 pounds. The Omaha North product was a three-star recruit ranked 1395 overall in the 2024 class. After redshirting in 2024 with five tackles across five games, Jones emerged in 2025 as a redshirt sophomore, playing all 13 games with 11 starts. He recorded 59 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and five pass breakups while posting his first career interception. Jones became the fifth Husker freshman since 1972 to record 50 tackles and contributed to a secondary that ranked third nationally in pass defense.
