Archie Wilson, a sophomore punter from Frankston South, Victoria, Australia, joined Nebraska in summer 2025 from Haileybury College, where he played Australian Rules football. As a true freshman in 2025, Wilson became Nebraska's starting punter despite never playing football prior to the season. He punted 37 times for 1,459 yards and averaged 39.4 yards per punt, placing 12 inside the 20-yard line with a long of 58 yards. Wilson's punting helped Nebraska rank ninth nationally in fewest punt return yards allowed. He was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and both the Brook Berringer and Tom Osborne Citizenship teams.
