Sterling Dixon, a 6'2", 221-pound jack from Spanish Fort, Alabama, transferred to NC State in January 2025 as a redshirt sophomore. A four-star recruit in the 2024 class, he was ranked among the nation's top pass rushers and earned multiple accolades including PrepStar's No. 13 overall at his position. At Alabama as a freshman in 2024, Dixon appeared in three games and recorded one tackle while contributing on defense and special teams, including action against Western Kentucky and Missouri. He was recognized as a defensive scout player of the week by Alabama's coaching staff. Through the 2025 season at NC State, he has registered one total tackle and 0.5 tackles for loss.
