Trent Gillis is a sophomore right outside linebacker for Navy, standing 6'1" and weighing 200 pounds. The Glen Burnie, Maryland native graduated from Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Maryland, where he was a three-time First-Team All-State and All-MIAA selection and two-time team captain. He led Archbishop Spalding to three consecutive MIAA championships and received offers from Maryland, Syracuse, Temple, Marshall, and UMass. During his 2025 freshman season, Gillis appeared in every game on special teams, recording four total tackles including a solo stop at Notre Dame and tackles against Rice and Florida Atlantic.
