After attending Naval Academy Prep School, he made his collegiate debut in 2024 against Bucknell with a 9-yard reception. In 2025, Hutchison appeared in 9 games, starting 6 of them, and recorded 5 receptions for 134 yards with 3 receiving touchdowns. His longest catch came against UAB for 63 yards, and he scored a 2-yard touchdown on a reverse carry against Rice.
