Carter Stewart is a 6'1", 170-pound free safety from Pearland, Texas, who attends Shadow Creek High School. A three-star recruit in the 2026 class, Stewart earned rankings across major outlets including national outlets's No. 248 overall in Texas and 157th at safety, recruiting services' No. 280 in-state and 187th at the position, and a No. 188 ranking from Rivals. As a two-sport athlete, he competed in track and field, posting a 5-8 high jump, 19-2 long jump, and 38-11 triple jump during his sophomore year. On the football field, Stewart played both ways as a sophomore, completing 26 of 43 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded six tackles and one TFL that season. As a junior, Stewart tallied 21 tackles, one fumble recovery, and six pass breakups. He committed to Missouri over Arizona State, Baylor, Maryland, Michigan State, Oklahoma, SMU, and Utah.
