Makai Cope, a 6'3" wide receiver from Los Angeles, transferred to Missouri State for the 2025 season after three years at Utah (2021–23) and one year at Sacramento State. At Utah, he appeared in 26 games and caught 7 passes for 75 yards with a touchdown in 2022. In his first campaign with the Bears, Cope played in 12 games with 5 starts, recording 20 receptions for 269 yards. His best performance came against FIU on 10/29/25, when he hauled in 2 catches for 52 yards including a 27-yard reception. He was named to the Conference USA Honor Roll and Missouri State's Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
