Joel Boamah is a cornerback for the Missouri State Bears standing 5'11" and weighing 180 pounds. Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Boamah attended Hudson Catholic High, where he was a two-time all-conference defensive back. He was a three-star recruit in the 2023 class. Boamah redshirted as a true freshman in 2023 with 3 games of experience, making his collegiate debut against Central Connecticut on 9/16/23. In 2024, his redshirt freshman year, he tallied 8 total tackles with 6 solos. During the 2025 season, Boamah appeared in 10 games and recorded 9 total tackles (6 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 3 QB hurries, and 4 passes defended. He intercepted a pass versus UMass on 10/11/25 and posted a season-high 3 stops at Northern Illinois on 11/28/25. Boamah is currently a junior on the roster.
