A three-star recruit from Glendale High, Roy exceeded the state career sacks record with 59 total sacks during his prep years. He appeared in 9 games as a true freshman in 2023, recording 9 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks. After redshirting in 2024, Roy returned in 2025 to play all 13 games with 6 starts, accumulating 11 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks while adding 2 quarterback hurries.
