Will Whitson is a 6'5", 295-pound defensive end from Cincinnati, Ohio, who transferred to Mississippi State as a graduate student. He spent three seasons at Independence Community College (2020-22), recording 63 tackles, 16.0 tackles for loss, and 8.0 sacks across 21 games. After earning junior college All-Conference honors, Whitson joined Coastal Carolina in 2023 as a senior, appearing in 13 games with nine starts and posting 42 tackles, 5.0 TFLs, and 3.0 sacks. In 2025, his first season with the Bulldogs, he played in two games with one start before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Arizona State, accumulating eight tackles, 4.5 TFLs, and two sacks.
