Kyle Johnson is a left cornerback for Mississippi State who was a 4-star recruit in the 2025 class, ranked 187th nationally and 22nd at his position by recruiting services. Originally committed to Houston, he signed with the Bulldogs on December 4, 2024. Johnson prepped at Bunkie High School in Louisiana, where he played varsity football since 8th grade and competed in both offensive and defensive roles. As a junior, he recorded 1,031 all-purpose yards, 13 total touchdowns, and 33 tackles while setting a single-season receiving touchdown record with 10. He also competed in track, running a season-best 100-meter time of 10.90 and placing fourth in the Louisiana 3A 100m finals as a junior. During his true freshman season in 2025, Johnson appeared in two games without recording statistics and earned a redshirt, including participation in the Duke's Mayo Bowl.
