Isaac Smith is a 6'0", 220-pound senior safety for Mississippi State who returns for the 2026 season. A four-star recruit from Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton, Mississippi, Smith appeared in 12 games as a true freshman in 2023, recording 15 tackles. His 2024 sophomore campaign was breakout: he played 11 games with 11 starts, finishing with 127 tackles to lead the SEC and rank 7th nationally, earning Second Team All-SEC honors. He recorded a career-high 20 tackles against Tennessee. In 2025, Smith appeared in 10 games with nine starts in a hybrid safety/linebacker role, compiling 64 tackles, one sack, one interception, and three pass breakups while earning Second Team All-SEC recognition.
