DJ Reed is a 6'4", 285-pound defensive tackle for Mississippi State. The Columbus, Georgia native attended Carver High School, where he recorded 8.0 sacks and 33 total tackles as a senior. After redshirting his true freshman season at Auburn in 2023, Reed appeared in two games during his redshirt freshman year in 2024 without recording statistics. He transferred to Mississippi State and played in all 13 games during the 2025 season, tallying 21 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 2.0 tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries, and one pass breakup. Reed is currently a redshirt junior.
