Tony Nelson is a redshirt senior right guard for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The 6'6", 315-pound lineman from Tracy, Minnesota attended Tracy-Milroy-Balaton High School, where he was a consensus three-star recruit. After redshirting in 2022, Nelson saw limited action as a freshman in 2023. During his sophomore season in 2024, he played in 10 games with one start at left guard against Virginia Tech, where he blocked for an offense that recorded 167 rushing yards and 236 passing yards. In 2025, Nelson appeared in nine games and started the final two contests at right guard, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors for the third consecutive year.
