Mike Gerald is a redshirt sophomore cornerback for Minnesota who hails from Morton Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. A consensus three-star recruit, Gerald redshirted in 2024 after making his collegiate debut against Virginia Tech. During his 2025 freshman season, he appeared in six games while dealing with an injury, recording 11 tackles and two pass breakups. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors that year. Gerald currently stands 6'0" and weighs 190 pounds as he continues his tenure with the Golden Gophers.
