Julian Johnson is a redshirt sophomore tight end for the Minnesota Golden Gophers from Aurora, Illinois. He attended Waubonsie Valley High School, where he caught 22 passes for 279 yards and a touchdown as a senior, including a five-catch, 75-yard game against Metea Valley. Johnson redshirted in 2024 after appearing in one game against Maryland. During his freshman season in 2025, he played in two contests and recorded his first career reception—a five-yard catch from quarterback Drake Lindsey against New Mexico. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025 and currently stands 6'6" and weighs 250 pounds.
