Josiah Anyansi is a defensive lineman for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The 6'2", 240-pound true freshman hails from Murrieta, California, where he played for Murrieta Valley High School under coach George Wilson. As a junior, he recorded 45 tackles (30 solo), 2.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, and 2.5 forced fumbles. A senior season injury limited him to one game, in which he posted five tackles and two sacks. He was a consensus three-star recruit and earned national outlets's No. 90 ranking among California prospects and No. 104 among national defensive end recruits.
