Angel Luciano is a linebacker for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The 6'1", 210-pound true freshman from Steelton, Pennsylvania, attended Steelton-Highspire High School, where he wore No. 7 and served as team captain under coach Andrew Erby. Luciano earned All-State honors twice and All-Conference recognition three times. His high school team won two Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state championships and four district championships. A consensus three-star recruit, he was ranked as the No. 26 recruit in Pennsylvania by recruiting services and the No. 49 linebacker nationally by national outlets. Luciano also competed in track and basketball.
