The New Hope, Minnesota native attended Heritage Christian Academy in Maple Grove, where he recorded 20 sacks and 110 tackles for loss during his high school career. A consensus three-star recruit, Tarawallie was ranked as the No. 3 recruit in Minnesota and the No. 97 defensive lineman nationally by recruiting services.
