Abu Tarawallie is a defensive lineman for the Minnesota Golden Gophers standing 6'3" and weighing 285 pounds. The New Hope, Minnesota native attended Heritage Christian Academy in Maple Grove, where he recorded 20 sacks and 110 tackles for loss during his high school career. A consensus three-star recruit, Tarawallie was ranked as the No. 3 recruit in Minnesota and the No. 97 defensive lineman nationally by recruiting services. He redshirted during the 2025 season and is currently a redshirt freshman in his second year at Minnesota.
