Markel Dabney is a true freshman linebacker at Michigan from Chesterfield, Virginia. He attended Huguenot High School, where he earned three-star recruit status and was ranked No. 745 nationally. As a senior in 2025, Dabney recorded 68 tackles including 9.0 for loss with one interception on defense, while rushing 40 times for 448 yards and eight touchdowns and catching 12 passes for 176 yards and four touchdowns. Over his prep career, he compiled 151 tackles with 25.0 for loss, forced 14 turnovers, and amassed over 2,300 all-purpose yards with 33 touchdowns across multiple positions.
