Kainoa Winston is a safety from Montgomery Village, Maryland, who attended Gonzaga College High School. A four-star recruit ranked No. 96 overall in the 2025 class, Winston made his collegiate debut against Central Michigan on September 13, 2025, recording two tackles and earning his first varsity letter. He also appeared on special teams and was named Scout Team Defensive Player of the Week for his preparation work. Winston returns to the Michigan secondary as a redshirt freshman.
