Jonah Lea'ea is a 6'5", 285-pound right defensive tackle who transferred to Michigan from Utah. The San Mateo, California native attended Bishop Gorman High School, where he recorded 48 tackles and 8.0 sacks as a senior in 2022. At Utah from 2023 to 2025, Lea'ea earned three varsity letters across 20 games with 12 starts, totaling 42 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack. During his 2025 junior season, he started 12 games and posted 34 tackles with 2.5 TFLs, including a career-high eight stops at West Virginia on September 27.
