JJ Buchanan, a 6'3" receiver from Henderson, Nevada, transferred to Michigan after one season at Utah. As a freshman in 2025, he appeared in all 13 games with seven starts and caught 26 passes for 427 yards and five touchdowns, earning his first varsity letter. He led all freshman tight ends nationally in receiving yards that season.
