Jay Coyne is a fullback from New York, NY who attended IMG Academy. He redshirted in 2022 before earning his first letter in 2023 after appearing in four games on defense and special teams. Coyne moved to fullback in 2024, his redshirt sophomore season, and played in all 12 games while recording his first catch for 12 yards against Prairie View A&M. In 2025, he appeared in all 12 games and caught two passes for 11 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown reception from Aidan Chiles against Boston College in overtime. Over his career, Coyne has made three catches for 23 yards and one touchdown. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, he has played in 27 total games for Michigan State.
