Standing 6'6" and weighing 330 pounds, Campbell was a consensus high school prospect ranked No. 71 at his position by national outlets, No. 92 by recruiting services, and No. 88 by recruiting services among offensive tackles. He received offers from Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Ole Miss, and Rutgers before committing to Miami.
