Cooper Barkate is a 6'1", 195-pound wide receiver from Newport Beach, California, who attended Mater Dei High School. He started all four years across St. Margaret's Episcopal and Mater Dei, guiding the latter to an undefeated season in 2021 with a state and national title. Barkate transferred to Miami after playing at Harvard and Duke. At Harvard, he appeared in 23 games with 19 starts, recording 113 receptions for 1,742 yards and 14 touchdowns across three seasons while helping the Crimson to Ivy League titles in 2023 and 2024. At Duke, he logged 11 career games with 100+ receiving yards, including a season-high 172 yards against Georgia Tech in 2025, and contributed to the program's first outright ACC Championship since 1962 and 2025 Sun Bowl victory.
