Kellan McLaughlin is a placekicker for Miami (OH), standing 5'10" and weighing 174 pounds. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, he graduated from Trinity High School, where he connected on 18-of-25 field goals as a senior while earning second-team all-state honors and set a school record with a 53-yard field goal. McLaughlin saw action in two games during his 2023 season, converting 3-for-3 extra points. In 2024, he appeared in 13 games as the team's kickoff specialist, recording 47 touchbacks on 72 kickoffs and made a 41-yard field goal versus Central Michigan. The following year, he played in all 14 games, tallying 40 touchbacks on 72 kickoffs and made one extra point against Ball State.
